Alvin Östlund crowned Swedish MX1 Champion with Triumph

Alvin Östlund has secured the 2026 Swedish MX1 Championship title. The victory also marks a milestone for Triumph, giving the manufacturer its first Swedish motocross title since launching its off-road programme

Östlund has raced the Triumph TF 450-X throughout the season and has consistently been in the fight at the front of the field. With the Swedish Championship season now concluded, he has been crowned the 2026 MX1 champion.

TF 450-X and Triumph’s motocross programme

TF 450-X är Triumphs 450-kubikare för motocross och en central del i märkets offroadsatsning. Triumph tog steget in i internationell motocross 2024 och tävlar i dag bland annat i MXGP/MX2 samt de amerikanska Supercross- och Pro Motocross-serierna.

SM-titeln med Alvin Östlund blir därmed ytterligare ett resultat i en utveckling som på relativt kort tid vuxit både internationellt och på den svenska marknaden.

Enduro is also part of the picture

Triumph’s off-road ambitions extend beyond motocross.

Its enduro range includes the TF 250-E and TF 450-E, two models launched in 2025 that build on technology developed through the company’s motocross programme.

Main partner of Gotland Grand National

In May, it was announced that Triumph would become a new main partner of the Gotland Grand National, GGN, through a three-year agreement covering 2026–2028. The organisers describe GGN as the world’s largest enduro race.

The partnership gives Triumph a prominent presence at one of Sweden’s biggest off-road events, while the manufacturer continues to expand its involvement in both motocross and enduro.

For Triumph, Alvin Östlund’s Swedish Championship title therefore represents more than a single championship victory. It forms part of a broader development that has seen the manufacturer move, in a relatively short time, from being a newcomer to the segment to becoming an increasingly visible presence both on the race track and in the Swedish market.
