2026 CFMOTO 1000MT-X

CFMOTO continues to expand its line-up with the 1000MT-X, the brand’s new flagship in the adventure class. The model introduces an all-new 946 cc parallel twin, engineered to combine strength, agility and long-distance comfort.

The design follows the same styling language as the rest of the MT range – the 450MT, 700MT and 800MT – but with greater displacement and more advanced technology. It’s built for riders seeking genuine adventure performance combined with long-distance comfort, without compromising off-road capability.

New engine with strong mid-range performance

The engine produces around 111 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and approximately 105 newton-metres of torque at 6,250 rpm, giving the 1000MT-X a clear power advantage over the 800MT-X. The parallel-twin engine features Bosch electronic fuel injection, a 13.5:1 compression ratio, and a slipper/assist clutch.

Chassis and suspension

The chassis is based on a tubular steel frame with an aluminium swingarm, using the engine as a stressed member. Suspension is supplied by KYB – a 48 mm inverted front fork and a rear monoshock, both fully adjustable and offering around 230 mm of travel. The combination of a 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear, fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres, makes the bike equally at home on tarmac or gravel.

Brakes and electronics

Braking is handled by Brembo, with dual 320 mm front discs and a 260 mm rear disc. A six-axis Bosch IMU manages and fine-tunes the cornering ABS, traction control and five selectable riding modes. All settings can be adjusted via the large 8-inch TFT display.

Equipment

Standard equipment includes cruise control, up/down quickshifter, heated grips, heated seat, tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hand guards and an aluminium skid plate. The low-mounted 22.5-litre fuel tank helps lower the centre of gravity while providing generous range, contributing to the bike’s balance and stability.

Availability

The CFMOTO 1000MT-X is expected to launch globally during 2026, with first customer deliveries in Sweden scheduled for February.
Estimated Swedish price: around SEK 130,000 – 135,000.
