6,000 km from Paris to the North Cape
The event begins at midnight on 29 June 2026 and concludes on 11 July. It is not a race, but a personal challenge where each rider navigates using a roadbook or GPX, solving problems independently along the way. No support, no shortcuts. Just you, your motorcycle, and the road north.
2026 also marks the very first edition of Paris–North Cape. The event has been created by experienced Dakar rider Tiziano Internò and route designer Manuel Podetti. The inspiration comes from the early days of Paris–Dakar – not the competitive aspect, but the spirit of adventure, navigation and self-reliance that defined those editions. This time, however, the compass points north.
The route passes through nine countries – from France via Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Poland, then through the Baltic states and Scandinavia, all the way to the North Cape in Norway. Along the way, there are four mandatory gates approximately every 1,500 kilometres, where riders can rest, service their motorcycles and meet fellow participants before setting off on the next stage.
The rules are strict: each gate must be reached within its time window, and if you leave the route, you must return to the exact point where you left it. Shortcuts are not permitted, and the entire route is tracked by the organisers via GPS.

All about Bikes will follow Daniel Norén throughout the entire adventure. Daniel is one of the Swedish riders taking on this challenge, and we look forward to covering his preparations, experiences and the challenges he faces along the way.
We will meet Daniel already at the ADV Motorcycle Expo on 18–19 April for an exclusive pre-start interview. What drives a person to embark on a journey like this? How do you prepare? And what happens when things really start to unravel out in the terrain?
Stay tuned – this is an adventure worth following.
