Patent images reveal what could underpin BMW’s new F450 RR
Behind the model is TVS Motor Company, one of India’s largest motorcycle manufacturers and a major global player in the two-wheeler segment. Part of the wider TVS Group, the company produces millions of motorcycles and scooters annually. While the brand may be less familiar in Europe, it is a significant force in Asia, with models such as the TVS Apache RR 310, TVS Apache RTR 310 and the adventure-inspired TVS Ronin in its portfolio.
The Tangent RR was first unveiled publicly at EICMA in November last year, where it was presented as the successor to the current Apache RR 310 platform. The collaboration between TVS and BMW has previously resulted in models such as the G310 series, with TVS handling production and technical development while BMW contributed design direction and brand positioning.

If reports prove accurate, the Tangent RR platform will fulfil a similar role for the forthcoming F450 RR — a sports motorcycle aimed at the increasingly competitive A2 segment.
The patent images suggest that the production version remains largely faithful to the concept displayed at the show. The angular design is retained, featuring deeply sculpted side fairings and an aggressive tail section that appears to incorporate aerodynamic fins. The overall impression is not of a speculative showpiece, but of a machine ready for series production. As such, the patent filings point not only to a new model from TVS, but also to the next chapter in the partnership between the Indian manufacturer and the German premium marque
