SheRidez – empowering women riders

The app was launched on 8th of March this year and has already grown rapidly. Users can create profiles, set clubs, share photos of their bikes, create events and, most importantly, find others to ride with by using a map and a function ’eager to ride’. This is however just the beginning as there will be more functions developed with time to make it the best platform exclusively for women riders. The idea is simple: motorcycling becomes more enjoyable – and safer – when you do it together and through empowerment.
Unlike many Facebook groups, SheRidez has no geographical limits. You can connect with whoever you want, wherever you want. Perhaps you live in Gothenburg and are planning a trip through Europe, or just a ride down to Skåne or up to Stockholm. With SheRidez, you can instantly see who lives in the area – for route tips, a coffee stop, riding company or even a place to stay.
SheRidez also gives you the option to start or join clubs, for example based on where you live, the type of bike you ride, or the style of riding you enjoy the most. For many new riders, it’s a way to quickly build a network and find support on their journey.
The voice behind the app
Behind SheRidez is Sylvia S. Zawistowska, who saw the need for a meeting place where women could grow in their passion for motorcycling.
Sylvie began riding motorcycles in 2020 but has had the interest since childhood. She rides a 1999 Suzuki TU250X, which she values for its reliability and character, and has travelled both within Poland and to neighbouring countries. Her first major adventure was on a rented motorbike in Bali, and looking ahead she dreams of new rides – including in South Korea.
“I want SheRidez to be more than just an app. It should be a space where women feel seen, empowered and free to live out their passion,” Sylvia explains.
Her vision has quickly become reality. What started as an idea for a digital community has already evolved into a growing international network.
Many women describe feeling lonely at times in motorcycling contexts. On a course or at a meet-up, it’s not uncommon to be the only woman in the group. SheRidez offers an alternative – a digital entry point to a very real sense of belonging.
– “It’s not just about riding, but also about sharing experiences, tips and inspiration,” Sylvia adds.
“Having a forum where you can ask questions without feeling judged is vital, especially for those who are new to the biking world.”

The road ahead
The app is still new, but interest is growing quickly and the plans are ambitious. The goal is for SheRidez to become a natural meeting place for women riders – whether you ride a sports bike, touring bike, custom or adventure bike.
