Hojrock is more than a motorcycle event. It is a feeling.
We arrived on Thursday and were greeted by glorious sunshine. There was time for a few relaxing hours by the pool before the festival site truly came to life. One by one, the food trucks rolled in, offering a delicious mix of flavours from around the world. At the same time, exhibitors began setting up their stands with everything connected to motorcycle life, including clothing, helmets, accessories and the latest products for both riders and their bikes. Several companies had also brought motorcycles for visitors to test ride, attracting plenty of curious enthusiasts.
As evening falls, the site fills with live music. The bands take to the stage, and it is not long before the crowd is singing along to familiar songs.
It does not matter whether you arrive alone or with a large group. Here, everyone is part of the community.
On Friday, it was time for the popular Poker Run. Large numbers of bikers headed out on a four-hour ride, with the aim of collecting the best possible poker hand. The suspense continued right up to the prize-giving ceremony, where a female rider emerged victorious with four of a kind. Her reward was an impressive trophy and 10,000 Swedish kronor.
The annual Hojrock Award also brought together an array of fantastic motorcycles in the exhibition hall. Visitors are invited to vote for the bike that impresses them the most, and the standard of both the builds and the finer details is exceptionally high.
The entire weekend is infused with that special Hojrock feeling. Great music, good food, exciting motorcycles and, above all, wonderful people. Conversations about bikes continue around the clock, covering journeys, roads, custom builds, dreams and the next adventure.
It is a fantastic weekend filled with friendship, laughter and that sense of freedom only motorcyclists can truly understand.
See you at Hojrock again next year!
