We often talk about ventilation, waterproofing, fit, the number of pockets and whether a motorcycle suit feels warm or cool. But when something actually goes wrong, a very different set of qualities suddenly becomes important.
What happens when your shoulder hits the ground? How long will the material resist abrasion if your body starts sliding along the tarmac? Will the seams hold? Will the knee protector still be covering your knee when you hit the ground? And does it matter what you are wearing underneath the suit itself?
